Yeah, offline is good fun when you're playing multiplayer, but I normally play on my own, because nobody wants to play it with me, which is unfortunate.
ive got about 30 photon drops that i can do nothing with. i wish they'd have put the east and west towers quests offline, and that gallons shop quest aswell. it's a shame that it costs, and a broadband adaptor is abuot, what, £40 in the UK

No S-Ranks, Galleons Shop, West and East Tower (oofline in + version), the lack of creativity offline, animations, lobby commands, mini-games found online, basically everything.

Just back up your items. If you do that, than you have nothing to fear from FSOD.

S-ranks are online only. The rewards are different offline.

The rewards for offline are just some fun weapons like the Toy Hammer, Chameleon Sycthe, Samba Maracas, Harisen Battle Fan, Crazy Tune, Flower Cane, Akikos Wok, and Broom. God shields: Genbu, Seiryu in B or A rank.

They are mostly novelty weapons - more 'fun' than 'good'. They can still deal damage, but the sights & sounds or feels are.. for fun.

The way I see it, if you've already paid for the game, why should you have to pay for a subscription fee. Although, I must admit, this is the only game I've ever played enough for that to be worth it. And congrats to Phantasy Star series. The first hard RPG I have ever played.

And this is off-topic but; does it matter which room you are in to find a rare monster? Or can it be anywhere in the level?
