When purchasing a HL, what are the methods of payment? Do you HAVE to use a credit card in order to get one?

There was a service called pso explorer that allowed you to play without a credit card. I never used the service but I think you were able to pay by check or money order. Anyway the service shut down May 11, 2006. So now you either need a credit card or you can search around for the private servers which are free but since forum rules don't allow us to discuss them, I can't be mroe specific.

You can also buy a pre-paid credit card from wal mart or other retail stores and use that.
