Okay, I just got the ATI radeon x800xl (upgraded from integrated Nvidia 6100) and I can't get it to "keep" the color setting I set it on, My monitor is quite old so something in it must blown because the brightness/contrast is VERY dark and I used the program provided by Nvidia to make it normal again, but why is it that when I try it with the ATI program, it defaults to the "regular" monitor color when I go into games or do anything that leaves the desktop? why doesn't it use the same "set everything to the desktop configuration" as my old Nvidia program?

Anyone know how to correct ths issue? or is ATI the inferior one when it comes to making a program that supplies their GPU's?

Do you have FRAPS or some other 3D application open? If so, Catalyst doesn't 'save' changes with those type programs open.
