Here's a few more tips about conspiracies the government's got going:


We never actually landed on the moon. It was all shot in a studio.
JFK was not shot. He was actually a robot, and a blown cog torpedoed his head casing. This is why they "lost" his brain-- he didn't technically have one!
There are secret military bases where we have captured alien technology, which have allowed us to build complicated things like microchips and circuit boards.
Elvis is in fact in the Witness Protection Program, due to his cooperative dealings with the FBI.
Military "think tanks" have technology that is a good 30 years more advanced than what the public has; all technology they develop is on a timed release.


When you jump into these conspiracy theories, you broadcast your gullability. We've all seen that video, and the discerning among us have dismissed it. It's a bunch of crap put together by someone who is, for whatever reason, sour against the United States, and particularly its government; a position that, among Americans, I find is typically held by people of low mental fortitude, often looking for scape goats to blame things on.

It's not worth our collective concern.

I think it's a bit foolish to lean too far either way on the subject matter. Either too gullible and believing everything, or too sceptical and denying everything presented in these conspiracy theories can equally obscure the truth about what really happened. I think there really needed (and still needs) some more impartial and thorough investigation of the events. To the best of my knowladge, about 600,000 was spend investigating this tragedy - whereas roughly 40 million was spent trying to impeach Bill Clinton. That's just gross irresponsibility on the part of our government.

Now, not to say that I believe or disbelieve in any particular conspiracy theory concerning 9/11 - but I do agree that there are questions about what happened that day which still need to be answered. One question I have, which I haven't seen answered, is what happened to the steel columns which comprised the core of the WTC? If the pancake theory is true, why weren't substancial remenants of these columns sticking out of the debris? From what I've heard and read, the 9/11 commission report makes no mention of these steel columns - nor does it make mention of the explosions heard in the sub-structure (though it does mention explosions heard by firefighters in the North Tower as the South Tower collapsed). Also, where was mention of WTC 7's collapse? It was not struck by a plane, and only had moderate fires on two floors. Despite being dwarfed by the North and South towers - it was a major building in it's own right - and more attention should have been paid to the mechinisms of it's collapse.

Again, not to say that I necessarily believe that the collapse of the WTC was the result of planned detonation - but these questions need to answered if nothing more than for the sake of future structural engineering and the safety of the people who will be occupying those buildings.
