Tekking....

I have heard the term tekking many times, and got some idea what it is but i would like to know if someone could explain it to me?

It's when you take a Special or ???? weapon to the tekker in the shop. He'll appraise it, you get a silly little tune, and VOILA~ you get to use your weapon's special attack.

Now then, any %s (including hit%) an untekked weapon can vary by 10%, plus or minus. Areas with 0% do not change. To get it, check the stats before you tek it and compare them with the stats after you tek it. If they aren't 10% higher, pay him and make him to tek it again.

With regular weapons (Vulcan, Laser, Sword, Gungnir, etc.), their specials can vary in strength as well.

Also, the grind a weapon has can be changed but that's not nearly as important as getting the best Special you can (say... King's vs Lord's, Gush vs Fill, Hell vs Dark, Demon's vs Devil's). A sidenote on this is that Charge, Spirit, and Berserk will not change. It will always either be Charge, Spirit, or Berserk so just get the 10% bonus and be done with it.

Also, even if the weapons have no hit, they can still make a nice check since ??? weapons once tekked can sell for a nice penny along with armors and shields.

ok, so you come to a tekker with percents of

10% Native
0% A. Beast
0% Machine
25% Dark
65% Hit

If you tek it, it might be 0% Native 0% A. Beast 0% Machine 15 % Dark and 55% hit, you dont want lower percents, so you say no and then when he says youll still have to pay him, you say OK. Then do this repeatedly until you get the desired percents you want.
