Am I the only person on this site who DOESN'T like Spread Needle? I mean it's fast and all, and it's got a good special ability, but it's only got mechgun range and has obscenely low power. Somebody tell me why it is so great!!!

spread needle revokes bad memories from v2 days, so ... i dont like it.
its an useful weapon and all (even tho i dont like relying on weapon-specials), but i prefer other stuff over it.

It's nice for crowd control and such, since although it doesn't have the range or power of a Shot, it is a fair bit faster.

On an android a Spread Needle with hit% can stop many monsters in their tracks, making it highly useful.

I'd consider a Needle (either Spread or S-Rank) to be a near-essential part of any Ranger's equipment, it really is just that useful.

Though I don't mind needles that much, I do hate it when n00bs use them and don't use their specials, which is their only good point. And after you paralyze with spread needle, you should switch to a shot or a slicer, since needles damage is terrible.

My RAcaseal spices it up with an arrest scythe, though.

and then there's people who use zalure needles in teams with a FO, on GC the zalure is 3 levels higher, so not worth it anyways. And on BB, its useless completely with a FO.

Shane seriously, why not just use Spread Needle to paralyze the enemies and then use your Crush Bullet to kill them.

A Zalure Needle is useless if you have a FO in the game... who casts Zalure... Sometimes you get a Fomar who prefers to smack enemies down, getting smacked down more himself, THEN cast support techs when they are nearly dead. In that case, Zalure Needles help.

Who the hell would be that stupid to attack enemies as a FOrce before casting Zalure and Jellen (ofcourse using Shifta and Deband on one self)? Pure insanity, unless you're over lvl 180, which in that case you need no boost effects in most areas.
