I've been searching for Spread Needle on my Purplenum Ramarl for a week in the ultimate ruins, and so far my search has turned up 2 guardianas, a belra cannon(shit), innumerable Mahus...no Spread Needle though.

Whats the best offline quest for it? Im getting really frustrated...

I just did the Ruins repeatedtively, or do Seek My Master, do the prerequisites. http://pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=903

I personally think that Retired Hunter is best since you can get 7 Merlans in the first few rooms and then just start the quest over.

My thoughts exactly. I found mine with my Yellowboze Hunter. Great for the special, crap at everything else.
