Do i really need to pay to play online or do that game have a free to play server.And if i really need to pay,can i pay by phone or i really need a credit card?

Yes, you do need to pay, and I think it's $8.95 per month.

You do not need to pay to play on either Sonic Team servers or private servers for PSOGC.
