Maser Beam?? worth hunting

Had a look at the maser beam, looks pretty decent. May try finding one for my RaCast.......was wondering if it's worth the annoying runs through Ult spaceship to the 1/49 chance off the gol dragon.
Also is the flight cutter worth hunting (1/1000something off delsaber)? I don't fancy searching for ages and they turn out rubbish lol (red daggers http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif) lol

To let you know you posted two of the same topics. The Maser Beam I don't think it is great. Why? Well when my brother and I found one he equipped it as his RAcast and did low damage like 2's and 3's to the enemies found in Ep.2. the Flight cutter is basically how every slicer is not really something I would look for.

It's horrible. It's damage is based on MST, so yeah, don't even try.

Damage is MST based? If I knew that I would have raised my RAmar or RAmarl for that. Too bad it isn't for Forces then.

Woah, woah. Don't get ahead of yourself. You are much better off with a weapon with ATP based damage. Even on a RAmar or a RAmarl, it's still going to do pathetic damage.

Yeah, I think it's pretty well agreed-upon that Maser Beam and Power Mazer are among the absolute worst weapons in the entire game, bar-none. Handguns found in Forest 1 on Normal would most definitley serve any Ranger better than a weapon from the Mazer family.

Not even then.

As said before, a handgun found in forest 1 would serve you better. That handgun will actually do much more damage.

You can make it into the power maser, but it's not any better. Well, it is, but a Forest 1 handgun is still exponentially better.

Sega didn't think it through when they put it in. The maser beam is completely useless. Actually, maybe you can use it in normal mode when you're playing with a nooby friend. You know, to handicap yourself...

I thought the same with the Belra Cannon when I got it off PSO PRINCE. I'm like 'woah, cool picture (in the weapon description), I want it.' Get all excited about getting it, use it, moan at no combo, use it anyway. I was going to get the Maser....well try to, but after reading these last posts, nah forget it.

Using it's special, my level 125 ranger has trouble hitting ultimate claws. ALOT of trouble.

The accuracy is not too bad or too great its just the power of the beam. Besides its sometimes fun to tazer your friends with it in battle mode.

It's good for trap detonation when upgraded to Power Maser, since its limit on targets is roughly the same as real Gizonde. It also has some weird utility uses, such as flinching a group of lilies at range. Though there are other weapons that could do the same job and actually do damage. <_<
