I'd like to congratulate you Zelutos on having a very successful thread. The amount of replies and views was amazing. Whenever I stopped by to check on my GC team's thread, I'd always notice how your numbers continued to increase. Very impressive.

Oh, and yes I've played Dirge of Cerberus. That game. . . omg. <3 to the max. I don't beat many games 100%, but this game really got me hooked.. probably also because its playtime wasn't to horrendously long lol.

As of now, transfers between the worlds is not allowed. You get four characters on each world, but none can go to the other world.

I don't mind which world we'll go to. The chance to get 8 characters gives the possibility to try out everything. So I'll most likely try loads of things ( we get two characters per race => all jobs!). But my main characters will most likely be in world 2, so it's 4 votes for world 2.

Not sure what I will vote on because we don't know if we will be getting two worlds or if just one yet since the NA STeam may make the server bigger or may make the same mistake as the JP team but my vote is the NA team is going to make the same mistake and probably underestimate the population of the server.

basically think of the 2 worlds as server 1 and server 2

server 1 is separate from server 2, so you can't play with someone on server 1 if your on server 2(currently)

later they may make you able to switch between them, but as of the release you have to be in the same world(server) to be able to play together.

Well, if the team is World 2, and people in the team have friends outside the team they'll want to play with, then those friends will come to world 2, and their friends will come to world 2, and so on and so on.

A Guntekker is someone who uses guns and can also use techniques.

right now this looks like a pretty good setup with 1 pure melee, 1 hunter/ranger, and 1 ranger/force, so I would say to balance this group, we need a pure force, pure ranger, and then fill the last slot with anything else.

yes, The King hasn't specified his main so he has a * next to his, I say we can make a great team with this as a base, especially if we can split the nanoblast load, 1 for regular enemies in hard spots, 1 for the boss, it'll be pure destruction.

If you're only healing then why not make a buff/debuff and heal/cure wand and staff. Might aswell punch in a rabarta or gideega, or something. Being a Force will give you good advantages to magic, so you should use them. You lucky people, you'll probably all be lvl 30 with PMs at final evolution and all when I'll be lvl 1. You don't know what a Whitill Wing is? Sounds like the special slot rare still needs to be known. It's my favorite armor piece. You add it to the special slot (which is also for SUV weapons) and the best thing is, it gives you beautiful white wings, exactly like in Tales of Symphonia, but white, basically a photon copy of them.

Don't worry, I'll take care of the healing and buffing techs. I'm concentrating my character on debuff and buff/heal anyway (as he's gonna be half ranger in expert mode as surplus to force).

Beasts are great fun. As a race though I'd rate them a 8 - they're still my faves, but thats not to say that they're perfect.

Their sheer amount of Def HP and ATP makes them wicked tanks.

The ATA is something noticable, I do find myself missing more often than with other races, but its not something that bugs me too much really.

I personally don't like knuckles too much, though they seem very popular with the ladies, must be the superior animation.

I really actually want claws for my beast but they havent been released online yet. Offline they're quite fun, though the basic combo isn't very mobile.

I find daggers to be my beasts main weapon of choice, whether it be a single dagger with a handgun, or twin daggers. They combo fast, have alot of movement in the combo's, and both their PA's are excellent, particularly the single Daggers.

You really need to try the weapons yourself to get a feel for them.

Okay Dikky lets see what I can do...

First off you asked about Axes.
So far there's been no sight of them at all online or offline, we can only assume that theyre gonna be relatively rare offline and possibly online, or they just havent been released online (same as the Fan and some odd two handed ranger weapon)

Secondly Spears was it? Well yeah the term partisan isn't very good anymore sicne they really are spears in every sense on the word. You don't swing them anymore (apart from in PAs) instead you thrust and stab forward with them. It's got the speed of a saber, and is alittle weaker than a greatsword, but is more accurate. It attacks in a linear pattern and can pierce through multiple enemies as long as they're in a line.

As far as I'm aware no katana weapons have been shown yet, although certain makes of saber actually greatly resemble photon katanas like the Musashi/Yamato series (namely any basic sabers made by Youmei or Tenora)

If I've not explained anything in enough detail please do ask, or if I've missed something again just ask okay? ^_^

One more question, any spear-like weapons attack like the partisan? I guess i'll explain why...
I got Dynasty Warriors 5 in July. It instantly became my favorite ps2 game. There are 6 chars who i would want to make: Xiahou Dun, who used Scimitars (Im prety sure there aren't any in psu), Dien Wei, who used 1 handed axes, Xu Huang, who used a 2 handed axe, Ma Chao, who used a bronze spear, Zhou Tai (who was probably the biggest badass aka coolest char), who used a katana, and Zhou Yun, who used a spear. Ma chao and Zhou Yun both swung with their spears, not really stabbed.
Buuuut i guess i can make due with stabbing. Also the katanas, are they duel wielded? Or one handed?
Also about that wolf-head for a beast...

I suppose that you'll get enough options to fiddle around and obtain the wolfy look you want. Fan, I have a feeling I've seen this somewhere before... It sounds like... Yeah! I know! remember how young link sends a huge wind shock ball with his magic deku leaf in LGWW? Well, put that under PSU rules, make it more like a rod, and use (TAP+ATP)/2. what dy'ou think of that? Possibility? And of course, ranged attack.
As for axes I can't wait to see the rares they'll come out with. I'd like the Gaia Cleaver from ToS, that would rock!

EDIT: Oh, by the way, as for katanas, I think they'll be the rare version of sabers and dual sabers. Just look at how youmei and tenora works have theirs curved like a katana? That's what I think it'll be...

Sadly enough, I can pretty much confirm that there's no way you're gonna get a beast to look like a wolf really. You can make them look pretty feral, but beasts really arent based off humans + a specific animal, they're just "beasts"

The main factor in the way you're never gonna get a wolf is the fact that beasts do not have snouts, they have human mouths with split lips kinda like a feline species.

*EDIT* forgot about your question on spears and partisans.

All spears attack in the same fashion, a three hit, linear combo. However they have a Photon art which makes you swing the spear in 360 angle, then swing in back, then continuously twirl with it, that's probably the kinda thing your looking for. However that PA hasnt been released online yet, and is only available by S ranking a certain mission with Leo in your team.

*EDIT #2* King, you asked about Swords? Well speaking from my point of view, I really REALLY like the designs for both the Tenora works, and Youmei swords, BUT!...

I pretty much find them unusable due to the speed at which they strike, and their basic PA. They're godaweful slow, and Tornado strike is just as slow and not really all that much more damaging. Of course if you're in a large group they're kinda usable, but you're gonna have yourself left open a hellofalot. Leo's PA spinning break improves swords a fair bit, giving them a fast striking, high mobility, move, but at the cost of PP it sometimes seems alittle lacking.

In Canada, It's $54.99. America is $49.99.

And if you really want to get a PSU keyboard, it's worth about 100$ cause it's wireless. If you want my advice: Just go buy a normal USB based keyboard[so it'll work with any system] from a computer store and you'll be happy. I bought a Sharkboard from EBgames back in the PSO days [it's not USB, but it came with a little adaptor that will convert the traditional Keyboard plugin to go to all three systems]. Well rare items are just different skins of normal weapons mostly, apart from some rare'er items, such as double sabers, cannons, ect.

Twin sabers... well...

Personally I think they're pretty decent, they attack pretty quickly, same speed as twin claws, not quite as fast as twin daggers. Their store bought PA (and only online PA currently) rising c?rush is pretty decent, the first hit is pretty much the exact same as a single saber PA rising strike.

After lvl 11 it gets different though. Instead of leaping and knocking the enemy you just launched back, twin sabers PA follow with three more launching strikes, this works quite nicely when in large packs, as you'll see lots of creatures up in the air.

Can you put a wand and a saber, or is it wand and handgun? Also I think Jozon wants to squeeze out all you know on PAs about dual claws, knuckles and dual daggers. I'm very interested in Knuckles and Dual Claws too as my HU/FOnewm will be using them a lot.

All single handed melee and casting weapons are right handed. All single handed guns are left handed. You cannot mix and match.

I'll write up a nice summary sometime soon of some photon arts, particularly the ones requested, though I have to say Im really disapointed in claws at the moment. Their basic combo feels far to stationary.

Luckily enough both the PAs I've used for claws are freaking wicked and totally make up for its shortrange combo.

I think they're the strongest dual weapons, but so far I've only found the Youmei models so I'm comparing other youmei dual weps.

They only hit 5 times in a combo aswell, whereas Dual dagger may be alittle weaker but they hit 7 times in a combo.

Yes I am french in fact, but you cannot say that I translate perfectly. That is impossible. As you can't translate the perfect meaning just like that. Each language gives out different tones/meanings for each word. Although it is possbile to translate correctly, you really need to think hard about it. That was only one line and pretty easy, so it is correct as I tranlsated. Don't write anything that you don't know the exact meaning. It might end up in something completely different from what you wanted. Tranlsaters are crap things >.>

Back to the topic....

Machineguns, from what I've heard, are total crap. They barely hit the target (low ATA) also have very low ATP compared to other weapons, and they don't have big PP and ... it's all negative. I haven't heard any positive things from the machineguns yet.

Twin Sabers are exactly like Axes atthe moment: Unknown. We actually don't know much about them, as they are weapons of higher ranks (4 stars on). And you probably need to create them most of the time to actually have one.

Knuckles apparently have a good ATP, although they aren't the strongest, but they're good. It's funny, just the thought of punching a Dragon to death while using a newman with knuckles http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif Anyway, they are good, usefull, cool weapons with nice PAs. I would use them as a Hunter.

Claws, now double claws are my damn favorite, but again, nothing is known about them. Their PAs aren't made of high combo numbers, but they inflict, as the knuckles, a good amount of damage. They have really nice atack animations and they have that cool claw look that you were trying to get in pso, but those had huge blades.

That is all of the stuff I've heard of, so it might not be correct. I haven't played yet... or even seen any videos, so I doubt that it's 100% correct...

You're pretty accurate with Machineguns. They're weak, innacurate, and they drain PP damn fast.
HOWEVER, if you're accurate enough, and have a higher tier mech (more PP) then they can be great for status effects, since their sheer rate of fire is fantastic, just hold the trigger and spew forth pain.
Also, to counteract their rapid PP drain, they also regen PP faster than any other weapon.
Still they're pretty lackluster to me.

I believe when they twin sabers they're talking about dual sabers, not the doublesabers you're talking about. I've already summed up Dual sabers earlier on in this topic.

However if you're talking about doubel sabers, I will simply say this. They are the SHIT! In a good sense. THey're totally my fave weapon, and they've been my beasts main weapon ever since I came up with his character concept. Roughly same speed as dual claws, but they hit once more in their combo, and have fantastic PA's

What you said about knuckles and claws is partly true, Though knuckles arent as strong as you put them really, however they are both accurate, and rather quick, whereas dual claws are stronger, just alittle less accurate, but a fair bit slower in basic combo. Both weapons PA's are also quite mobile, and good for dashing around enemies dealing damage (apart from the Knuckles "Bogga Zuppa" being a single strong dashing strike that requires charge, not very mobile)

The machine gun is like a handgun in the sense that it is a single off-hand weapon.

However there is no such item as twin mechs.
There would be no particular point to such an item since mechguns have a heavy enough fire rate as it is, you don't really need another one.

On a side note, if anything, twin handguns have replaced our old concept of mechguns from Pso.

I wouldn't get ahead of yourself Dikky, of course if people aggree that you're a Ranger expert that's fine, but so far in the JP version, there's been no word on Expert mode at all, so as far as things go for me at the moment, it' still just hunter, ranger, force, and there's more than one person begining as a ranger here.
