Offline to Online.

Can we go from offline to online with all kind of memory cards? Because I've heard that we weren't able to do it with some kind of memory cards.

Any type of memory card will work; but Nintendo brand is suggested because they are generally more stable than other brands.

If i remember correctly the majority of 3rd party memory cards are not recommendable for going online with.

PSO myths, the only card(s) you shouldn't go online or play games with for that matter that come to mind are the AR memory card that was about 1000 blocks, because that WILL corrupt itself over time, no matter what, due to the way it stores its data.

Um last time I checked you can't d/l any quests at all so if thats all you want don't go online.

No you don't.

You use your offline characters for online too.

I'm using a Hip Gear memory card, someone said I'd have to remake my characters if I wasn't using an official one? I'm really confused...

No, you do not have to remake your characters if you use the same ones from offline. The only time you'd remake/restart is switching from GC/XB to PSOBB, since it's saved on the server.

It really isn't so common that you need to constantly worry yourself sick over it.

And if you DO get corrupted it's mega easy to level up online from level 1.

The only bad thing about online is FSOD or FSOD-X. I certainly wouldn't want everything to disappear because of one corruption. More over than I play over 500 hours.
