Do you need a credit/debit/check card to get online&get the

First and foremost, Is there a FREE first month?, or was it a hoax?
If so how does it work?:
When you first boot up PSO GC and go to get a Hunter's License, do you need a credit card to play?
Meaning do you get to play one month FREE without using a credit card?
OR
Do you qualify for the FREE month of play after you input your credit card info?(then they will prompt to bill you starting in the second month of play)

I own PSO GC but cannot play it at all as I do not own a GC, otherwise I'd be able to find this out on my own. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif
