Does the phone cable from the BBA have to go into the DSL modem before it hits the wall. I am an idiot when it comes to these things and any help to get me online would be nice.

Phone Cable? Do you mean Cat5 cable (bigger than a phone cable). If you don't have a router (sounds like you don't) then you'd hook your GC to the DSL Modem... I believe that would work although I'm not sure with DSL Modem... try it. It works with cable this way, you have to unplug the modem first and then replug it in.. so try that if it doesn't work the first time. I don't own a GC, a BBA or DSL, so I'm working of my networking knowledge.

Yah!! Well I have DSL through Earthlink and they sent me the DSL modem also. That's what i'm using. As for the phone cord. On my Dreamcast the reagular phone line would work. Is that not the case for DSL lines?
