Neo Contra

Just picked this up for 10 bucks. First game I bought in awhile. I like it alot, reminds me of Project Overkill. Seems it might be short though. Is Shattered Soldier similiar to this one?

I like that they improved on some of the stuff from Shattered Soldier (that the game's not just boss after boss and actually has run and gun stages), but they really kinda dropped the ball with the weapon sets, sad attempt at a story, and some ugly ugly slowdown with 2 players.

It's fun for a Contra game, but doesn't manage to stand out as much as Hard Corps and Shattered Soldier for me.

Shattered Soldier was complete gaming awesome when it came out. After the crap Konami gave us on the PSX they finally managed to do a damn good Contra game. I say give Shattered Soldier a whirl if you can find it. It's a lot harder than Neo and is kind of a boss gauntlet game, but God damn is it ever fun.
