I don't know if this wasn't already answered but weren't the jp server supposed to be back online tonight?

It was online most of today. It's down for maintenance right now. It seems silly to have maintenance so soon after half a week of downtime, but this was always the scheduled maintenance time as far as I know (then again, I might be wrong; I missed the banner they flashed across the top of the screen right before it went down).

It should be back up in a few hours (hopefully to stay).

It's Weekly maintenance
Thursdays 11am to 4pm JST (10pm-3am US EST / 7pm-12am US PST)
It'll happen every week.
Get used to it.

Just to update everybody waiting, the servers will not be opening in ten minutes as scheduled. Maintenance has been extended for another four hours.

Maybe they're alleviating the login problem. It was difficult getting in beforehand.

They're up now (I'm playing), but the login problems are as bad as ever. The only reason I got on was because I tried starting up the game five minutes before the scheduled uptime.

Which reminds me before this "fix" they did, there were no login problems. So it seems like the bought more servers but ended up restricting the login. Thus when I did finally log on. I saw like no one playing. The japanese people need to start complaining a lot about this. I would except I don't think they'd read the english complaints..

Well okay, now I'm just going to go ahead and say that this is one of the worst launches of an online game I've ever seen. The only way this could really be worse is if this counted as your free month, but even when it's free, this is just unacceptable.
