CANT GET PAST "SEGA LINK ID" jp pc version

heeeeeeeeelp!! i just got the japanese pc version and im just trying to get into story mode. i tried to navigate through the menus, it seems to say story mode above, yet it is asking for two things. one is the "sega link id" anyone know what this is?! or is this for ONLINE play? the second seems to be a serial code which i have on the back of my booklet. im DYING to try this sucker out can anyone help me get to story mode on the jp pc version?! ANY help would be greatly appreciated!! thanks for your time!

You need to register your PC version to play the offline story mode. I was also puzzled by that fact. The Segalink ID is an account you use to access online Sega games. To register for one go to: https://segalink.jp/payment/psu/auth/login.asp?GameDIR=psu and click the second [blue] box. Use PSOW's guide to register. It may vary a bit since they may have changed some things but with a bit of trial and error you should be able to do it.

Oh and no, you do not need to pay anything to play story mode. Just enter your game key [back of instruction booklet] once you finish registering and go back to https://segalink.jp/payment/psu/auth/login.asp?GameDIR=psu by logging in [fill in the login info in the site above and click the red box which says log in in katakana].
