Hey, I really want to do this but I don't know where to begin. From what I can tell, my TV does not have a VGA or DVI slot in the back but it has a S-Video plug. What I want to know is, is there such a thing as a converter that let's you use VGA on a TV that does not have VGA? And by using my TV as my monitor, would there be a delay from my PC to the TV?

Several modern computer graphics cards have S-Video outputs on them. Laptops generally have them too.

There should be any delays in using these ports.

I know graphic cards have s video, mine has s video, VGA, and DVI. I heard using s video might have bad resolution and such if I were to use that as my PC to TV connector. So I am trying to see if there is a way a TV without a VGA port in the back can use VGA by use of a converter. I hope I am not confusing anyone ^_^

You could always use something like this:

Whenever I've tried something like this on a standard TV, I always found the results to be pretty bad. Trying to read the standard Windows fonts caused a lot of eye-strain. Pictures end up look very blury.
