For one the hacks being worked on are for offline mode. NOT NETWORK MODE! And it has been patched. There is work arounds to do it but not going to explain it.

The addresses for the weapon addresses were found from jp players first. He just took the time to record videos of it (extra mode). Not hard to do. I myself took the time to find the addresses for every exp % for force techs.

@RoninJoku: Online mode doesn't use the timer system as far as I seen that is showen on the top right corner. The timer is used on offline/extra mode for the ranking scores. Also you would see the data transfer icon on the top right corner when you are playing online.

They still do not play non legit quite as heartily as westerners, I mean when you have a situation where LITERALLY 80% of the western side is non legit and 10% of the Japanese side maybe is, that is just bloody ridiculous.

I still blame part of the problem on the fact that in the west the game in marketted squarely at kids, whereas hell, when I queued up for premiere in Tokyo, there wasn't a person who looked under 18 in a queue of maybe 300 people.

Edit: Still some proper cockmongers in-game tho, these kids are a lot ruder than the ones on PSO. I blame the internet/PS2 generation.

Joy, I thought the anti-USA and anti-JP. talk had ended. Come on everybody, can't we all live in the fun little hell hole we all created by useing cheat together? I know I cheated in PSO for gamecube, but that was because it was later in the games life and I was getting bored (and I lost my memory card with my lvl 117 legit HUcast... GOD DAMN IT!). But people on both sides cheat. I don't know who does it more, and does it really matter? There are still cheats no matter who creates them. Plane and simple.

If there are cheats on the offline version, I think I would be happier, because I can have fun messing around offline, and then go online to play seriously. Is that so bad? Yes, but at least no one else is getting affected by it. Cheats were almost neccesary in PSO GC because you would be so incredably behind without them.

Also, how did these people find these cheats? Did they just find the time to look through the script of PSU? Not big on hacking computer games, not worth the time.

Ok I'm not going to get at you because you seem to be seriously gullible. You make it seem like the numbers that I pulled out of thin air, are real numbers. I could have said 76% and 24% or whatever, the point is I was just saying a general number.

I can say this because each and every time I play PSO I talk to another US gamer that has a hack or knows another friend of his that is duping etc etc etc. Do other nationalities dupe or hack? It was inevitable that the offline portion of PSU was going to be hacked. It was just a matter of time before that happened. The real test has always been whether Sega can prevent it from happening online.

Anyways, I am going to lock this thread since I do not see any benefit to leaving it open.
