I'm using a skyly to hunt a red sword (1/900 from govulmers). Right now I'm going through cave I of addicting foods. Is there a better way to hunt them?

If you really are in play addicting food 4 or 5 times in a row maybe you will have some chance to have a red sword!

Endless Nightmare# 2 is the best way to find him.

The entire AF quest has about 30, while the first area has 15. At 15 kills, I have around a 1/60 chance of finding a red sword, meaning I'd need an average of 60 runs to find one. Ah, how I wish it would only take 4 or 5 runs...

As a random note, I've gained red daggers, god/hp, a yamato, an asuka, at least three chainsawds, a guilty light, and countless levels (started at a really low level) while hunting for one. Just in case anyone was interested...
I'm hoping for a red slicer and sange along with the red sword, but I'm stoping at the red sword.

can you go online some of those quests have alot more. Red Sword is really nice by the way and I find damage doesn't vary as much as you would think considering the range of ATP it has.

No, I'm unable to get online. Offline onry, and all that jaz...
By the way, I have a chainsawd that I'm using in the meantime on my caseal (I made her just to hunt this, my main is a newearl). How much nicer is red sword with both classes?

If you're a HUcast/caseal, then I'd definately recomend the Chain Sawd over the Red Sword.
But if you're HUmar/newearl... then I'd say either is okay. Red Sword does actually very a bit in it's damage... but if you don't have a problem with that >_>... seeing it's special is pointless, where as Chain Sawd has Gush http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif unreduced for cast users, so it's great for HUcast/caseal.

23 hours invested in a character who got up to lv85 finally netted me a red sword with 45% E.beast. I'm rather happy at the moment.

As for the varying damage thing, the lowest damage it can do while fully grounded is the same as the average of a chainsawd grounded, leaving plenty of room for improvement. Besides that, I much prefer its look. That's the main reason I've spent so much time hunting it. Anyhoo, I'm going to grind my new red sword and get my HUney out of those stinky caves.
