Where is Bernie?

Where is Bernie in the Retired Hunter quest?
the walkthrough says that at the end of the quest that he will appear near the teleporter to the Principle but i dont see him.
Did i do something wrong?


By the way im getting the Ragol Ring so i cant mess this up or i lose it.

Now im confused... ive checked other walkthroughs and they dont say anything about Bernie being in the Retired Hunter.
is he in it or not?

No idea. I have never seen him in that quest. And I have gotten Ragol Ring.

He is on Pioneer 2, you don't need to do the Retired Hunter to obtain Ragol Ring, but it is part of the same plot, and the alternate ending to the Retired Hunter is nice, along with the Forest part.

??? ok so where is he exactly?
I think i need to do the Seek My Master quest first.
Then he will appear, but i guess it doesnt matter if i can get the ragol ring without doing it.
