.. fucking to one of my songs.

Went there wednesday night. Omigawd, regina spektor's an amazing singer live and such. she had her elegant black dress and all that happy fancy shit. Acapella intro, too. And crowds. Lots of them.
There's an obvious encore, if the tries to close without singing 'us'. I just went around googling for bootlegs, and woooo, older material ftw. She went through a lot of older/previously unreleased stuff during said concert.

Any regina spektor fans?

Discuss.

Regina is on the shuffle rotation; and I am really jealous you got to see her live.

Listened to three of her albums (Russian Kitsch, 11:11, and Begin to Hope)...

Overall, while she has a couple good songs (Samson, Fidelity, On the Radio), I think I prefer a more subtle vocal styling. Her sudden warbles are a bit too abrupt for my tastes, while Dido for example, tends to meld hers into portions of her songs which make them flow a bit better.

I dunno, I'd think it'd be a decent concert to go to, but I don't think I'd do more than listen to a couple of the songs on Rhapsody every now and then.

That would be Soviet Kitsch, Arislan.

Whenever I feel angry or sad, I listen to her music and just drown myself. Probably not good in the long run, but whatev. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
