Theres some people on a few Pokemon forums saying at the Mew event at Toys R Us', that flyers are saying D/P will be coming to NA in November.

I'd usually just assume this as a little rumor, but my excitement has made me wish to ask here, as I assume some American pal of mine was able to obtain Mew from one of these events. And can confirm or debunk this rumor.

Are Diamond & Pearl real names of games & if so, are they brand new games or re-releases of older games? Lately, Ive been busy on Colosseum, working on my 1st Mt. Battle challenge in Battle Mode, but my 2nd one ever (1st one I did in Story Mode).

They're the real names, and they're completely new games.

... and I got my Mew this afternoon.
Two, to be exact. ;e

As for a NA release of Diamond and Pearl... I heard Q1 of 07.
I think it's just the optimistic and enthusiasts that claim Nov 06. A bit hopeful, if anything. Translations takes forever, x500 pokemon, and establishing a NA server for the WiFi. That, and JP stuff usually takes six months to get here, so I still say Q1 of 07 is accurate. No confirmations, just opinions.

Firo, a hidden Pokemon enthusiast? ;o

The thought came from a very badly worded Gamespot article (http://www.gamespot.com/ds/rpg/pokemondiamond/news.html?sid=6158967). Still, some people are claiming to be getting flyers from the Mew event that stated a November 06 release date, and that's where this question actually comes from XD

See, there's a Toys R Us down the street, but I didn't bother to go, cause I assume it was an American only event, as usual http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif (I really... REALLY should have just tried to confirm it XD)

God, I'm so excited for this game. For how excited, check my DA journal (http://princepj.deviantart.com/journal/10240481/). That's definately a tad bit too much Pokemon love methinks.

Do me a favor and slap yourself... You can never have too much Pokemon love! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I'm thinking November is a bit too good to be true... Well, good for some... It would be a rather bad time for me actually. Waaay too many games already this fall...

Over 30 level 100 Pokemon, including 2 Typhlosions, 2 Blazikens and 2 Kecleons, almost all the Fire Pokemon raised (Admittedly, that's not a lot) and a broad range of other types raised?

That might be a little much XD

A November release would be great, I just need time to work on the GBA games so I can have a load of monsters ready to transfer over and breed (lol, level 1 hatchlings this time round).

I'm so glad that its not gonna be November. So many good games are released in Fall/Winter that I gotta make tough calls everytime I visit the gamestore. It amazing, how deep a "childs game" is. With diamond and pearl, its only gonna get deeper.

That alternate Kirlia evo looks pretty awesome, and with the new Physical/Special system there's a decent chance it will be able to use both its types effectively.

Nah, it's just an alternative Kirlia evolution, for male Kirlia.

I was actually disappointed in the fire monkey... I was hoping he'd evolve into a giant fire gorilla.... ><
Oh well, I guess it's the grass starter for me.

1. The last thing I need is NEW Pokemon. Why? Well, dont I have enough to raise in enough games? I mean I still gotta find my old copies of Yellow & Silver to finish what I didnt, still gotta work on Sapphire & well, in accomplishing that, I guess I can do more on Colosseum. Now a new set of games? ARGH! Its too much!!! LOL

2. I hope it does come out next year. With the games Ive been working on lately & PSU coming soon, I wont have time for Pokemon. Everything drops when a new PS game comes out...& thats the truth!

Are you kidding me? That was my biggest fear!

Especially after I learned that Hikozaru learned Slack Off, I was thinking, "Shit, it's gonna be an ugly ape thing." But it didn't. Of course, final monkey can't learn Slack off, cause it's not a big lazy monkey, but what can ya do http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Hot Damn!

For whatever reason, this has been inspiring me to complete my copy of FireRed XD

I looked up some info on Serebii.net and...well... Spoilers (so if you don't want to know, don't highlight)

New methods of evolution!
-Gender (as shown before)
-Items being held. Although this was kind of introduced in G/S/C, this one is much easier. Simply give a Pokemon an item, let it evolve, and there you have it!
-Location (this is the case with both of the new Eevee evolutions)
-Specific (known) attack: If they don't have it, they don't evolve
-Another Pokemon in your lineup
-New stones (as shown with Erureido on the first page)

Other than that, now you have the chance to capture the God of all Pokemon?

Nintendo, you now have another purchasee http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
