Best Weapon is pretty wide ranged.
For Example: GodHand has better Stats, but under the Line, Combat doe's more damage and helps you to avoid to get damage(you can have bigger distance between you and enemys), the third attack of an combo has a shorter Animation.

SSS has high DFP, decent EVP (but no match for Rico's Earrings or Kasami), and average fire/lightning resists. I seem to remember it increasing Ice resist by a bit more. It's a hell of a good shield.
