Level 5 enemies? They might drop 15 or so meseta. Boxes are still in; it wouldn't be an online Phantasy Star game without boxes.

Days maybe, weeks? Nah http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif Prices were pretty steep sometimes for recently discovered items, but prices eventually stabilized and became pretty reasonable for some things. And I'm sure you'll find items of your own to sell to help pay for the things your'e after. It'll just take a little time for the economy to work itself out is all.

but if u look at prices of things n then look at how much people say Mesesta drops it doesnt add up....very discourageing

They drop 15 or so? So how long would it take to save up for new tech disks? I'm looking at playing a FO and trying to gauge how long it would take to get a decent collection of techs. By decent I mean the cheapest tech in each element and maybe Resta. I don't want to be a liability to the team.

It does add up. You get less EXP too, so it's not all that unbalanced. ;p

If it was the same as Extra Mode, people would be max level with loads of items within 2 to 3 days. Then, you'd all be complaining that end game is too short.

i just dont wanna get on n get screwed outta my money on a game thats gonna annoy me to get one tech

well i like the way it is. atleast now you dont have to buy a new tech if you want higher lvl in the tech. so what if its a hard to get all techs.

Well alot of people have been playing it and there really hasn't been an really evident problem from what I've heard so far. Sure, money is important this time around, but I don't think it's that bad.

Nothing like FFXI, because there's nothing you have to buy in order to be able to join parties. And besides, sounds like real life to me. Save up for something, buy it, then see something else you want and regret having spent the cash on the previous item.

look, stop complaining..we're talking LVL 5 monsters...of course they should drop 15 or so..what happenened to the lvl 30 monsters? Anyways....
PSO was sorta the same.....enemies drop mesetas, you save up, you buy pallashe or that Freeze Autogun +6 you've been keeping your eye on...then you reach a high level, get mad that you need a stronger wep..you die on Falz, you beg for a scape doll..you die again..you reach lvl 100..go back to normal and totally ahnialate the monsters that gave you trouble...

All skills & bullets cost 1000 meseta(I think), it's a lot early on but 2-3 completed S-Rank missions should net you enough to cover the price for one of them. Buying weapons on the other hand... well if you're on the jp release for PSU browse around in the player shops for them, they're usually around 50% of the store price. Of course the best ones available still run in the 10k or higher price range.

As for techs, you buy them and level them up by using them in combat. Their prices vary though. As a FO, your meseta worries die down pretty early on. You buy your set of techs and then get around to buying the best weapons and you're pretty much set. After that you just have to go out and use those techs to level them up. HU on the other hand end up wanting to hunt for weapons with higher elemental %s.

Hey, offline Phantasy Star games had boxes too, you know. Except, you had to actually open them with--get this--your hands. It was a more civilized time, I suppose. There was none of this "smashy smashy" pinata-esque barbarism prevalent in today's Phantasy Star gaming youth.

Peanut, you're talking about level 5 monsters...
So early in the game you'd want to get tons of money and weapons ?
By now, I heard no complaining about "how hard it is to get a mere meseta online" so I guess people manage to get some http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif
You're just starting, it's supposed to be hard.
If it wasn't, where would be the challenge ? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Try to get what you need, and if it's difficult, then try harder http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Starting out meseta is lacking, so you can't run out and buy all those PA and Tech disks. Of course, that would be boring. I only recently got to level 10, and had a few problems early on with money, but now things are fine. Sure I can't go out and buy that 5th Tier Dagger, but I can't use it either :b. So basically, you get meseta, then you spend it on weapons later. It's actually more of a fun exprience than Extra mode imo.

Getting S-RANK on missions helps alot, too. That's for all you newbies out there who think it's smart to take on monsters twice your size and twice your level!

Stop complaining I have a right to know this kinda stuff since im Pre ordering and Dont wanna waste my money on a game that almost a clone of others which I hated due to the fact you had to.. 15 Meseta early one wont add up to anything............i was looking for a more relaxing game where it wasnt a super struggle to get things needed.........the way everyone is making it sound is its gonna be a struggle to get anything....

Just ignore than Peanut...Everyone always exaggerate things a bit too far. Plus it all depends on how you play.

PSU is set up to be whatever you want it to be. You can casually play through it, or you can go hardcore. Either way works fine, its suited to your play style/choice.
