... Google bought Youtube for $1.6 billion.

O_o;;

Well, oddly enough, Google's not forcing any changes. Just.. ownership, support, etcetc.

Well. Quite personally, I rather liked video.google.com for downloading on occasion, and youtube for variety. I hope they're not making any radical changes anytime soon, but meh. Hopefully, they'll start moving on google's crazy uber fast servers and whatnot. o_O

Discuss.

Ketchup edit: Made it so that the links don't stretch the tables.

I care less for what youtube will change or not at the moment, I'm still trying to comprehend the 1.6 billion deal. Dang~

Further proof that Google will take over the world.

Meh. All this means to me is that the links people send me over AIM that go to YouTube movies will have "google" somewhere in the URL. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

That also means that Dysfunctional Hearts may never be seen on YouTube anymore!

I get the feeling YouTube will lose its "essence" in this, I just can't see Google keeping anything the way it is... they have to Googlify it.

We'll see how it works out, though I admit I preferred them seperated just because each one has their own useful traits... traits I'm fairly sure would not be able to be safely combined.

And let us not forget: Mark Cuban called Google a MORON!

Offering $1.99 "legal" videos to download, as well as
Google adhering to artists' rights, and charging $1.99 per music video download.

YouTube being a user based community, often with casual users hosting music videos,live bootlegs, etc and attracting free viewers. Not to mention the load of english subbed anime.

Going through 50 pages of crappy naruto AMVs to find the song you were looking for isn't fun.

NO!!!!! NOT FAIR!!! I don't want them to take down all the AMVs and Anime videos. I'll kill myself if they do this! Those Anime vids are the only reason I log on YouTube. And I think alot of people can say this for theirselves too (I Hope).
