Blockbuster, and most likely, all nationwide rental chains, will not be carrying PSO for Gamecube or the Xbox version when it's released.

The reason fo that being that you have to put in the serial number of your game in order to get online. It just wouldn't work for a rental.

you can still play offline without entering a serial number...

Yea, and if you think about it, You need a FULL BLANK memory card to even save Animal Crossing, but they still rented it out anyways...I wonder if they will still do it for PSO.

LOL even if PSO ep1&2 was still a rental you'd hit yourself in the head for even returning it back http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

One week with PSO is not enough, it's stupid to try it. Blockbuster is smart to not rent it out.

Not sure about other Blockbusters, but my local BBs rented out PSO and PSO v2 for the Dreamcast anyways, not sure if they warn the customers that they can't log on unless they were the first to rent.

The new releases are perfect to rent, in that the person rents it, after one week they've leveled up quite abit(I've had the game a week and am at lvl 45 and into V. Hard), then if they decide to buy it, they just go do so and can still use their character. Very do-able =)

Sure..not everyone is going to be lvl 45 after one week, but they'll have gotten a feel for the game..and we all know what the taste of addiction is. =X

Yes sir lol. What I am gonna do is on Thursday call BB and ask if they have it..if not, then do the same on Friday...if not then I am gonna just try to buy it since I get paid that same day (thank god!) Hopefully SOME place will have it...I just missed Toys R Us today, the lady said they just sold their last copy. Darn!

Hmmm... Maybe I should be the first one to rent out all the copies and go online with the serials...

I think if they're smart they won't include the Serial numbers and access keys for the rentals. That way when they sell the used games, they can include the serial/access numbers for the person who purchases it and it will be fully capable of online play. o_o

"if they're smart" being the important phrase
