i'm new to challenge mode. how hard is it to get a s-rank? and if i play stage 1 then quit, will my stats be saved for stage 2? or do i start from scratch again?

I hope the needle is still RAmar and RAmarl only. My #1 choice for an s-rank will be the Scythe, #2 Mechguns

Rifle all the way baby, style over power for me. After that a Partisan for Bo again, then maybe Flight Cutter (thats the shuriken right?) and we'll see from there. I'll probably end up with every srank by the time they pry my cold dead hands off the controller just because I love c mode more than regular PSO, which is joke-like by comparison both with the quality of the average player, and difficulty level.

Pupu, I wonder if they'll change the items, adding or subtracting. Maybe there's a reward for no having any deaths (losing the stages, not dying with a doll) ?

I'm with SnAPPLE. I plan on getting at least 4 S-Ranks. If not for function than for fun. I currently have a HUcaseal and FOnewearl at Ra-ZAN.

If you check the status screen you'll see that there are more challenges... I'm guessing VR temple 1 (1), 2 (2), VR ship 1 (3), 2 (4), Jungle 1 (5), 2 (6), Mountain 1 (7), Seaside 1 (8), Factory 1 (9). I think making the undersea base a c-mode stage would be rather unfair, given that the enemies present and that Olga Flow takes forever to beat.

If hunnies could equip Needles I'd go with a Needle... but my first choice would be a pair of Blades. ^_^

Well I guess if HUnewearls can't use the needle I'll be getting a partisan or maybe a sword O_o.
But if there is an S-rank Musashi, I'll be getting that instead of a needle ^_^.
