And it's for the better, Google is offering YouTube API to web devs to create mash-ups. This can only be a good thing, at least I think so. I would love to see what people could come up with.

Actually, the previous owners of YouTube has sold the brand to google for something like 2 billion dollars.

It was 1.5 billion, appreantly they also got a new office out of the deal as well.

Firo, this topic is about the changes Google made to the site (namely giving out the APIs), not the buyout.
