So our internet went down, unable to access the modem configuration, I had to reset and put everything back in. No big deal, had to do it lots of times.

Anyway, once the internet was back up, I opened Firefox (Google as my homepage) and to my dismay, I got this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v339/TheOneHero/Random/VerizonBS.jpg

We got it before too, well, a different version of the same BS. I called Verizon, apparently my account is inactive or something. After half an hour with someone I could barely understand, internet is back up, working and happy.

Firefox still won't work. Unistall and re-install. (I had to do this one other time to get rid of the Verizon crap.)

But nope, not this time. It's still there, and just for Google.

I set my homepage to other sites, everything loaded well.

I typed in http://www.google.com and it took me to the verizon BS. But oh no, news.google.com works just fine. But not http://www.google.com

If anyone knows anything to fix this, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Clear your cache. This is the root of tons of completely wacky problems that would even baffle God in person.

For instance, my computer couldn't communicate with the network at all. After clearing the cache, everything worked properly.

Sounds like Verizon has a really obnoxious SQUID going on, there.
