No movies display

Hey guys,

Sort of a weird problem. I've seen my friend playing PSU and it suddenly occurred to me that no movies play at all in my game. In-game cutscenes occur without a problem, but any time a movie SHOULD play, I just see the PSU logo flash and then the game continues.

Do I need the DVD in my drive for movies to play? Am I missing something here?

Did you install the latest DirectX? You do not need your DVD to play movies...

Yeah, try installing DirectX from the DVD.
These movies are played via DirectShow, so this is the most likely resolution.

Thanks very much guys! I'll try it as soon as I get home. Out of curiosity, if I download the latest version from online is it the same as the DVD copy?
