Well perhaps I'm not the only one very annoyed with the lack of a snapshot upload feature in the US version of PSO so far. However I've been wonder if perhaps anyone more knowledgeable than me knows how the JP Visual BBS reads the memory card data from the GCN and turns it into PGN format? (Of course for all I know it could already be in the format and I may not know it, but stick with me.)

The reason I'm asking is because there's a memory card backup device for the GCN and I'm wondering if it might be possible to get the screenshot out of that backedup data. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Where can you get this 'memory card backup device'?

That is for the Japanese version. If it was POSSIBLE to do this AT ALL on the US version we wouldnt have to go to such lengths to get our screenshots online, which is currently impossible on the us version

Yes thinking about how bloody easy it is for them to upload snapshots makes me a mite angry.

Anyway the device can be found at http://www.hkems.com. They make a memory card that plugs into the PC's USB port. They made similar things for the dreamcast so I can tell you they worked out pretty nicely.

Of course for all I know the file on the GCN memory card could be a straign PNG image, which would be good. If it's not I have a feeling it's something simialr, but with the format slightly changed so we couldn't read it so easily.
