Does playing offline multiplayer increase the chances of rar

From time to time I will use 2 controlers on my GC to transfer weapons that certain characters cant use. Pluss all three of my characters are differnt section ID's so it works out good. But for some reason when ever I actually go to an area with both of them I see alot of rare monsters alot more often. Such as Mil lilys or Love rappys. But they never drop anything of good use. Sure its rare but its only fun to get it the first time not the hundreth time. So I was wondering if i should play multiplayer offline to get better equipment? Or does it increase my chances?

Yes & no. The drop rates are the same for offline, online or multi, but online & multi hhave more enemies, you have a better chance at the drops. Also, you can pipe in offline multi. ;]

I see....So the odds arent greater but the number of creatures instead....hmm....Ok I get it now. Thank you =-)
