The one thing that makes me mad...

Well, I've had PSU online for a week now, I'm level 21, (names Viper, hit me up foo hehe) and I love the game. It's like the wonders of PSO all over again..except for one thing. Monster names.
The new names of all these baddys have gone from simple and easy to discuss with friends (Red Slime, Volt Opt, De Rol Le) to a mouthful of gibberish (Goushin, Adahna Degahna, Kamatouzu) just to name a few.
Anyone else missing just saying "Hey wanna go do a Volt run" instead of "Hey wanna go kill that big @$$ tank thing..uh...Adhagua Hoobawhatsit?" They even felt the need to change dragon to de ragan, come on! Cut me some slack here Sega, I only have so much memory capacity for obtuse names and only so much time to try to convey my ideas through a keyboard while whooping mutated koltova butt with daggers.
Anyone else annoyed a little by it? Though overall, PSU is an amazing game...even when we have only scratched the surface.

I'm fairly sure now having experienced the Goushin myself that they will become a household name around PSU that will be easy to discuss ;p. Adahna isn't too bad of a name to remember if you leave out the sirname. For the other enemies with more complex names, I suppose it would be better to recognize them by thier signature nasty attacks.

well, I haven't made it far enough for such complicated names, I just give them a short name, like Dragon instead of De Ragan, or "lets do relics" instead of "lets kill the strateria". good thing I got a keyboard, I have no idea how I would get around w/o it.

I often just simplyfy it by saying:
" lets kill draggy "
" lets kill flying trash can "
" Lets kill the tall man "

I heard someone once refer to adahna degahna as:
" is this the one with the boss anna banana? "
cause they couldn't remember the name, lol

ya, thats kinda what I do too. the names are hard to remember, so I'm not suprised that some people would misspell them.

XD eh constant use will get you to remember them easily...I mean think of how many Zelda/Mario monster names you remember despite how stupid they seemed at first

well, for the mario names, I dont' think the names were hard to remember, I mean, goomba, koopa, bob-omb, bullet bill, whats so hard to remember about that? psu enemies have names that are hard to pronounce the first time someone sees it.

If you pay attention and read the nametags, it's not that hard to remember at least the gist of the name. Goshin, Kamatozu, Adahna Degahna, De Ragan, etc.

The only names I remember are the ones that were said in story mode. That pretty much limits it to Koltova and Da Ragon.

Other than that, everything else is the same as you guys call it.

Red slime isn't the pso monsters real name so we can give nicknames here too.
Dragon, Gargoyle, Mecha tank, Blue Statue, Yellow Statue are my name for the bosses.

Let's go to relics and fight bunnies, fire rats, rhinos, and blue statue!
Let's go to rainbow beast and fight bears, blue rats, centaurs, worms, and yellow statue!

See. it's easy mmmkay?

i think everyone got the names in PSO over time anyway. i dont remember many of the names from ep2, but almost all form ep1. and you always remember the annoying names first, like Delsaber and Delbiter, etc, and bosses.

i am not sure why this alone would bother you so much? it is cooler that they have different names. I dont want to fight different looking "Boomas" and "Gilchicks"

I made up my own names, but for some enemies I call them by their names.

Lizards (those little lizard things on relics)

Ninja Shrimp (teh evil Goloro things on relics)

Worms (Goushin)

Big Bertha (huge stupid Cows in relics)

Vahra (Vahra)

Wee-Men, Chirpies, Birdies (The little green grass bird/chirpy things on mad creatures)

Pigs/Piggies (The fugly pig squealing monsters on mad creatures)

Dragon (De Ragon)

Omongong (that's how I say it, close enough lol)

Aliens (brown alien creatures on neudaiz maps that shoot ice trails at you)

Space Penguins (the little nugget monsters in Linear Line)

Sheep/Space Sheep (the brown & blue monsters in linear line that charge you)

Robots (for the robot monsters in nuedaiz temple)

That's all I can think of for now.

In Rainbow Beasts I got all my friends to call the boss Chris Tuckers character "Ruby Rhod" from "The Fifth Element". Trust me if you've watched the movie next time you fight him all you'll be thinking is Ruby Rhod saying, "Oh my god, oh my god." over and over.
