Female Beast in Nanoblast *4 New Ones*

I'm pretty sure that meets all the standards of the other avatars in the database. The image is official Sega art.

I noticed that there wasn't a female beast in nanoblast form, so having plenty of time on my hands I figured I would make one. I figured since the original picture was contrasting blue and red beasts I would do the same for the background. Then I added in the light bar effect, crossing it near the face to draw attention to that point. Not to bad for an MS paint job I suppose.

I am, in no way, the final decision maker on this, but usually we try to keep the avatars zoomed way the hell in on the face. Keep this in mind.

*nods* I figured as much, but this was pretty much the only official female nanoblast artwork I could find. Making the image bigger would most likely make the quality poor, so I didn't do it. Not that I mind it, but why is the zoom in thing so typical anyways? Just so everyone can make out minute facial features?

I know there is a larger version in your "nanonblast guide" so I'll try and make one from that I guess. It's the same female beast image, her position is just diffrent and she's bigger with equal res quality.

As Meira said, this particular avatar is zoomed out too far. We like close-in shots because they usually convey more emotion.

I've tried making avatars with this particular picture in the past and was never satisfied with the results. You may have better luck if you peruse the PSU screenshot threads for a Nanoblast facial shot.

Well, I took your suggestion about the screenshot thread and checked there. I originlly didn't check because I wan't sure if permission was needed to use the images or not. If it is, just tell me and I'll drop them a PM. Unfortunately, I only found three that can make decent ones.

All are JPEG format and 64x64, and have a 1 pixel width black border.

Of the four, I like the third one the best. Would it be possible to center it better? Also, you should probably ask the owners of those pictures if they mind them being turned into avatars.

I'll go ahead and recenter it, the main reason I had it over that far was so that the purple would take up the entire thing, instead of having this small point of yellowish background. Though I suppose I could change the background if it's needed.

I edited that little bit out in this one in case you are like me and don't like that little bit of color putting off the scheme of it. You really only notice it's seperate if you pay attention to the spot, though I suppose it is your call. I'm working with MS paint, so dealing with so many diffrent shades on a pixel level can be difficult at times. But, that's how you get better, practice.

I've grown a liking to the yellow one actually, probably due to the sheer amount of red Nanoblast beasts around. Still, can't say I prefer it to the purple, gotta stick with my own character.

If there's any details of the Boggo Val Nanoblast you need, feel free to PM me, and i'll get some info (tattoo images, more Nanoblast images etc), I just think the Nanoblast page needs updating a bit http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif
