It's not so much chose to remove it, rather couldn't include it.

You see, PSU requires a fair bit of graphical horsepower, and having multiple instances of it running on the same console would probably cause them to break/explode/tear open a rift in the time/space continuum.

There was no point of Co-Op unless it was maybe 2 players.
3 the screens were so small and for 4 it lagged like hell.

Similar to dividing by zero.

I think they could have included at the least, two player splitscreen, and 6 player system linking. While the former PSO's splitscreen might have chugged, the two player splitscreen wasn't all that bad, it could have been done easily on the 360.(PSU is not a massive game in terms of graphics, if you've played Gears of War, you know this to be true, because GoW is two player splitscreen). I chum it up to just bad coding for the 3D engine, they could have done it and it would have been cool for those who don't have online or those who want to play with siblings.

Indeed, Gears of War shows that the 360 with good coding can do co-op quite well. There is no excuse for the lack of co-op other than laziness/ineptitude (crappy coders).

Well you CAN divide by zero .. You just have to be prepared for the consequences of attempting to divide by zero. Messy stuff.

Yep. I enjoyed co-op on PSO quite a bit and miss it here. I questioned buying it from the start because of that.

If you don't play online or plan to, go ahead. Story and Extra mode aren't enough reason to keep it.
