Ultimate mode at lv. 38.

Hello everyone, I'm new here but I have been a lurker since I got the first PSO almost two years ago. I recently had an experience that I thought I would share with you guys.



Since my characters happened to get corrupted and I had to start over, I decided to go "No holds barred" and make it to Ultimate as soon as I possibly could.

Here is my journey.

Being a lowly lv. 21 HUmar, I embarked upon a voyage that may break into unfamiliar territory. Clearing Normal was a cinch. wiped the floor with everything. Next came Hard. After leveling a few times in the Forest, I took it upon myself to attempt to go straight through the game. Caves fell to my lv. 26 wrath and the Mines followed suit at 29. The Ruins were a bit harder, but after hours of piping for supplies and nuking everything, I had arrived at the Boss teleport.

I died, and then I died some more. Being lv 33 and attempting to beat Hard Falz seemed impossible. I switched out some armor for some light resistance one and boosted my HP by 60 finally filling the last slot with a Resist/light for a light resistance of 15!

The moment of truth arrived and the sparkle of Grants merely bounced off of my resistances (left me with 64 HP ). Falz followed suit and victory was mine at last. Hard was finished at lv 33.

When my adventure into V.Hard began, I went straight through. It was tough, but I prevailed. The Ruins were mine and I once again stood at the doorway to certain death. Being lv. 37 almost made me laugh at even concidering to try to beat V.Hard. I walked in and faced my fate.

I lived. Grants left me with 18!!!! HP. Falz would surely be a piece of cake now!!!

I walked him easy. leveling to 38 at the finale.

That was my adventure for the last two days, I am now in Ult. Caves (beat the dragon at 40) and current level is 52.

I don't think that I could have done much better, being lv. 38 in a difficulty that requires lv. 80.

Has anyone else been in Ultimate mode at a lower level than that? I'm just wondering if anyone else shares my accomplishment.


I also took a screenshot (on the GC) of me in the Ult. Forest at Lv. 38 if you don't think its possible.

Well wasn't FALZ's Grants stronger than the Ruins' Magicians?

Scape dolls are your friend no doubt.

What weapons did you use?

My armor was a Solid Frame (I think) resist light 10?
Weapons were Musashi +28, Raygun with 0/30/0/35/30, and an edge of some kind (Oran ID finds daggers like crazy) it had 40% dark. My mag was a lv. 200 Rati with stats somewhat like 20/110/30/40. I didn't die any, so I didn't have to use Scapes, but I did have some with me.

My units were Dragon/HP, Metal/Body, General/HP and a Light resist unit(+10, not sure which one).

Even if it were with a friend that was at Ult. He (both) would have to be lv. 80 or higher, unless both beat vhard in single player. (which the experience from just the bosses would yield around 100,000 exp, which is enough for around lv. 25 or so.

i beat normal falz at lvl 22 and hard falz at lvl 33

im a hunewearl O_o.

i was gonna rush through vhard but i felt like doing vhard mines runs for a bit to lvl up and to find stuff. i found a gae bolg, a devil/battle, and some other stuff, so it was worth it. I beat vhard falz at 42 or something... i cant remember now. ever since then i've been lvling in ult mode and now im lvl 125 ^_^

Question
how can you be Rati if its ???+???=???+??? if one stat is 110 in total the others would have to equal 110 makeing the level 220 there for its impossible, but good job.

To get the Rati, I believe your MAG's stats have to be (correct me if I'm wrong) DEF+POW=DEX+MIND at or after level 100 (will only evolve after level 100 every 5 levels).

So, it could be 10/40/20/30 and still evolve into the Rati. From there, no matter what stats you level, the Rati will not evolve again unless you use an item to make it evolve, like a MAG cell.

So having a MAG like that is entirely possible, he just leveled it up as he saw fit after the evolution.

On a side note.
About the MAG, I have a Sato that Galactia so kindly made for me. And for Sato at lvl 100 it needed to have DEX+DEF=MIND+POW.

(Name is from Final Fantasy VII in case you didn't know [well, kinda]) i.e. Sephiroth (my name is Jeffrey, so Jeffiroth seemed ok to me.)

As for the race, If you read the story I think the first couple of lines somewhere say something like "being a lowly lv. 21 HUmar. . . " .

My Rati's Stats were 20/30/20/30 (def+mind=pow+dex) at lv. 100 when it changed. From there on out I fed it Moons until about lv. 190 and Sol's from there on out.

Once a mag changes to a rare one, it will never change again, no matter what the stats are.

I am currently raising a Rati for a force, (just got it finished if you read this)

I would but I just took a screenshot of my nifty-cool CROSS SCAR's I like how they look. very nice. . . . . .

I have a picture of the screenshot on my computer, it was posted earlier on page one.

I started at around 11 am on Monday (I think) and played through hard and into very hard which I completed at around 7:00 am on Tuesday.

Like I said, the ruins alone took around 5 hours. I used my guide to find the quickest way through all of the levels. You'd be surprised at how quick you can get through the caves if you know exacly where to go. .

I believe that I had around 27 hours at level 38. I had played offline multi with some friends to get to 21, that is where I started.

Um...you need the Import version of the game, not just the serial number and access key. You'd still get the domestic website on the game.
