PSO vs PSU mech game (giant robots) would be fun. I would choose the PSO side.

Hey a person has got to have a dream!

So would I, and I'm not kidding. I still have Ep. 3 relapses.

Although playing as an Arkz wouldn't be as cool, seeing as half the monsters are very, VERY ugly, and the other half are...bosses.

New C-Sorcorer would be uber, though.

I really hope Sega doesn't pull another hat trick like Episode III.

Norvekh: PSU III not being a sidestory/gaiden/off the beaten track/whatever?

Now that would be called "going against tradition"... http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Come up with a simple plan for how it'll work, find a friend that can program, get someone to do some art, and make it. I'll add it to the Fan Media Library. I bet you could put together something rather good in Flash.

We can probably expect PSU's third installment to be wildly different from the others, assuming Sonic Team sticks to the pattern that Phantasy Star began and Phantasy Star Online established. Personally, I'm rather curious to see what they do with it.

PSUII, the version that doesn't suck hairy monkey nads? (The one, I suppose, that consists of 40 hours of Ethan and Hyuga bickering back and forth with Rutsu sitting around prettily in the background for the requisite eyecandy.)

Dear ST: Something like PSO, set in Algol. Preferably sometime between I and II, but I'll take post II/post IV as well. DX (I suppose pre-I, II or IV could work too.)

Hmm... I've always thought that the perfect setting for a new PS game would be a prequal to the original series. There's several untold millions of years between the time the darkness was sealed and when Lassic opened the seal.

I've often thought it would be kinda cool if PSU was that prequal... like the ancient civilisation which dissapeared 18,000 years ago was the Great Light... and the SeeD were the remnants of the civil war they fought. It would be great if eventually Karen had to enter the seal and sacrifice herself to finally end the SeeD menace - and in so doing became the core of the Profound Darkness much like Rico was the core of Dark Falz.

That would give PSU the decidedly bittersweet ending I've been craving... and add a bit more meaning to the fight against the PD in PSIV knowing it's Karen you're finally killing/freeing.

But.. the problems facing connecting PSU to PS/PSO in that fashion would be quite large. I don't know if it's possible.

That would be the ideal Phantasy Star MMO, I think.
