I only have one grass assassin's arm (I'd have 2, but I kinda felt sorry for my teammates when I suddenly got the 1st one, so I let one of them get the other)

wow...that's quite a bit of items u got there...I mainly play online so I really don't have many rares...found about 5 rares in one hard ruins run including a Custom Ray Ver.00 and a Del shield...

Level 33 Greennil

I've not found much, but I got a Del Saber's Right Arm on Normal and a Varista in the Caves on Hard. I'll update when I find more, since I've played Hard for 2 hours so far.

I also got an Amplifier of Barta in Normal Mines, but I don't think that counts as a rare.

Oh, and a crap load of Photon Drops, which I hear are worthless offline. Oh well.

it would be really great if you could post where you found them, from what monster and what difficulty level, then we could enter in the the findings database. and btw all the section id finds are there.

Greenil - VHard - Yet More

Mines 1/2 - Gilchic - Proto Regen Gear (x4)
Mines 2 - Box - Blade Dance, Mace of Adaman
Ruins 3 - Claw - DB's Shield

I also found a Wals MK2 from a Dark Belra, so I already hit confirm on that.

I feel bad selling rares, but after a certain point, multiple digits of blade dances just don't do you any good.

Also, I found another Del Saber's right. Is the left more rare, or is my statistical sample poor?

im a greenni as well and i find varistas like lying on the ground i mean i cant even walk around the ground without stepping on a varista

I'm going to submit and confirm these in a sec, but I thought I would list them along with some more theorizing (please don't shoot).

VHard Greennil

VR Temple Alpha - Hildabear - Magick Rock Moola
VR Temple Beta - Grass Assasin - Light Relief
VR Temple Beta - Box - Visk
Jungle North - Box - Varista (grumble)
Mountain - Box - Mace of Adaman
Ruins 1 - Dark Belra - Wals MK2

And now for theory...

Someone (maybe Al-Rappy?) was talking about rare drops being related to your level in relation to an area, or something along those lines. I said it sounded like the closest theory other than complete randomness.

I can now repeatedly clear the forest and caves without getting anything, but whenever I go to mines, ruins, or anywhere in episode 2, I score well. If you accept this, that would indicate that it has to do with level versus difficulty OR time in area. The moola and light relief were almost instant in their respective levels, and this guy hadn't played Episode 2 yet.

I will, in the next few days, clear VHard hopefully. If I start finding insane loot in the forest again, I'm going to consider that another point in favor.

Again, totally random is still equally possible, as is some kind of clock-based thing. I honestly haven't checked beat time ever, so I can't rule that out.
