I think Black Cat was really good, great art style, the characters were well developed, and it had an intriguing story. I heard the Black Cat anime was kind of lame compared to the manga, so I'm not gonna watch it.

Also, can someone recommend a manga for me? I want something with an exciting storyline, and I'm kind of picky about the art style (don't like some of the older drawing styles). Other than those, I'm open to any suggestions.

I can be kinda picky about the artwork too. I just don't like a lot of the old artwork. It's weirdish. But sry im kinda babbling on and on.

I thought that Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles (TRC) was pretty cool. The art is cool and i just love Fai (one of the characters). You might see some recognizable characters from other animes too. As for some others that do a lot of fighting and cool stuff like that (i may be a girl but i love that kind of stuff ^-^) theres Juvenile Orion (which i haven't gotten into too much but i have two of the mangas), Bleach (really cool, spirits, samarais, and a great story line) and since its from tokyo pop it should be somewhat cheap. At least it is where i live. ^-^ Then theres Inuyasha but its a pretty long series...I hope i helped you out a little bit. Its just i love anime and this kind of stuff. + video games. 0.^

Train goes from laid-back bounty hunter who wants to eat, to vengeance-driven bounty hunter who wants to leave his friends out of everything. The three missing Chronos Numbers appear (Anubis 4tw), and Eve was apparantly made to power a doomsday weapon. All in all, stick to the manga. Everyone is cooler in it, and you don't hafta see so much of Creed's creepy love for Train.

(btw, Black Cat manga was awesome.)

That said, I highly recoomend Death Note for manga. The art style is more realistic (even with Shinigami), and the plot is an awesome crime drama taken from both the police and criminal sides. It's frikkin' hardcore.

Beat me to it.

As for Manga I usually buy the ones that I have heard are good as blind buys and they usually turn out really good. Currently my collection includes

Hunter X Hunter 1-10 (This is my favorite Shonen out there)
DeathNote 1-5 (6-8 I plan on getting really soon, also really good)
Gunslinger Girl 1-2 (This one I read one time through and was confused to all hell but after I read it a few times it is one of my favorites)
Cowboy Bebop 1 (And it is going to stay that way. Bleh)
Samurai Deeper Kyo 1 (I honestly say this is the most bland and cliched thing out there. Ever.)
Dr. Slump 1 (<3)
Beck 2 (Yes that is right only issue 2. I hate this manga with a passion. I mean you are reading people playing music. READING PEOPLE PLAYING MUSIC. Let that sink in.)

That is all I have currently. But soon after I get my Wii I will be able to spend money on Manga and Comics that I need to get. Also add in Christmas.

I don't like spending money on tons of manga. That being said, I've read some good ones.

FLCL volumes 1 and 2 are really awesome. They take the story to some uniquely different areas, and after a point, become far weirder and more surreal than the show. The art is absolutely fucking fantastic, as well.

I've also read some of the Cowboy Bebop manga, and it's all really good too.

You've got the right number of Bo's XD

I don't buy manga because I just don't have that kind of money. I have plenty of friends to bum off of, though. XD I like Get Backers and Confidential Confessions. The latter especially is something you won't read everyday.

D.Gray Man FTW! Others are Ah! My Goddess, Air Gear, Gantz, NHK ni Youkoso (just as funny as the anime), Bleach, and some others I don't feel like naming..

The anime for D. Gray Man just started recently and they seem to be following the manga pretty closely.

Frankly, I preferred the anime. Although Train IS now a serious character, the tradeoff is Sven (Is that his name? Can't remember, dude from the beginning) is now the laid back silly dude. Frankly, Sven as the silly dude is a MUCH more fun silly dude than Train was.

Although I prefer the anime, the manga Naruto isn't bad. The only reason I prefer the anime is, I like my mangas story driven, and my animes action driven. Action is ridiculously stupid to follow in manga, usually.

Hmm, actually, all the mangas I have available to read in my house have animes to them, that I prefer. Naruto, Black Cat, FMA... what else does my brother collect... oh well.

Ragnarok was cool until it suddenly stopped for whatever reason. I also liked Kazan.

I'd read way too much Naruto about a year ago.

As for a bit more current stuff I've been getting some interest in, looking to continue with Genshiken eventually.

I love all of those mangas, even though i haven't heard of Tactics before so theres one exception. Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles is awesome, currently i only have mangas 1 and 2 but i really want to find more. xxxHolic is just as good cuz its just like TRC from a different p.o.v. Neon Genesis Evangelion has got to be the best classic anime ever made. Not entirely sure but i think that i have bought just about 50 mangas and im running out of room on my bookshelf. ^-^

sadly I'll have to go ahead and admit that I've watched A LOT MORE anime then I've red manga ... but I have read some and what I've read I'd have to say that the Akira series was my personal fav.

Akira was the first real anime flick I'd ever seen and it was what first sparked my interest in amine ... sooo when I discovered there was an incredibly involved series of manga for Akira I went crazy and bought them all http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif. The manga was incredible and I now understand sooo much more about the movie then I did before I read them.

I've been meaning to pick up more but I end up spending all of my extra cash on anime DVD sets that I haven't seen yet http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I am going to have to say that I think Chrono Crusade is one of the most cliched anime stories ever. That and Samurai Deeper Kyo.
