(PSO EP. I&II GC) Well, I've got some friends who have PSO. I myself have it. I'm lvl 45, but they're all 50-100. I will level up to about 55, then get online along with them. But I've been thinking. Is it really WORTH it? I mean, with the Wii out, and PSU out, isn't Sega gonna shut down the servers and cancel online? I also heard that there aren't many people online anymore. I mean come on now. It doesn't seem worth my money. I want to get online, but all this concerns me. Anyone have something to say?

Becuase of PSU, apparently (after gathering up bits of information), there are hardly any people on the PSO GC servers anymore. I doubt that SEGA will shut down the official servers, however.
I, myself, play offline. Althogh I would like to go online, I don't currently have that option, due to lack of money.
The question 'is it Worth it' is quite hard to answer. It depends on what you want the online mode for. If you want it for a community, then probably no, as there aren't too many people on it. If you want it for all the added extras (i.e Holiday Rappies, Online Quests), then I'd say Yes (if you are willing to pay for it)
But the decision is entirely up to you. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Well what i heard was that there is a 30 day trial? i am not sure as im an offline person but, if there is a 30 day trial try it out if you think its boredom then after the 30 days just say you don't want to be online, fair does.

You have people to play with = worth it, IMO.

Really I'd just want it for the quests, the option to play PSO with my friends from a distance, and be able to take on bossses that I'd normally not be able to take down without a party. But theres also another part of me that wants it for the community. I wouldn't need a bustling community, but I'd like a big enough one where as I could trade items, purchase them, etc. You know, like get mags and equipment that I normally wouldn't be able to stumble upon.

The servers won't likely shut down, as the DC versions are still up.

If you want it for the bustling community, it is pretty much dead. You will probably see just a very minimal amount of people left, so for that, you won't want it.

If you want it for the quests and stuff then it is.

But for my opinion, the online quests are not worth it. They add a little more challenge over the offline quests, but in the end, there are pretty much just for the use of leveling up and playing around with other people. And since there aren't any other people to play around with it, it is basically a waste there. So I honestly wouldn't suggest for you to get online.

Hmm...About how many people do you guys think I'd find on a server?

I would say about 1-100 left
