I know Kanji is the most used written form. But I have some questions for the others. Katakana is the language used to copy foreign words, right? But is it written is japanese or in european alphabet? And also, what is Romaji? Pronounciation? Thanks for the help Japanese knowing people http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif.

Katakana is mostly used for words foreign to the Japanese language, yeah. It uses a different Japanese alphabet from Hiragana, but it's still Japanese. Katakana characters tend to be about as simple as hiragana characters, but also tend to use sharper lines and edges.

Romaji is basically the sounds of the word translated into English letters and sounds. Kanji, Katakana, Romaji, tsuki, baka, whatever, those are all written in the English language and sounds to translate the pronounciation of the word, hence are said to be written using Romaji.

Ok, thanks. So if I want to pronounce egg then, I say it tamago? And if I want to write it then it's under Kanji form, sounds cool http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif Japanese is fun to learn http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif
