View Full Version : Starting all over...

I've thought it over, and I decided to start all over from level 1. I didn't realize that there was a 150 material limit when I first started, and, being somewhat of a perfectionist, I couldn't bare the fact that I'd never be able to get all of Phalanx's stats maxed.

So, good-bye level 111, hello level 1 - With a bank full of nice items, of course.

According to some charts people made at GameFAQs, it's impossible for a HUnewarl to max all stats anyway.

That is true, but I've gotta make it so she's the best HUnter she can be...

Good luck :3 I'm still trying to find out if god/power exist, and what they give.

Well, if God/arms still exist, then I am sure that God/powers exist.

God/Arm adds 15, and God/Power adds 50.

I'd think a level 111 is a lot better than a level 1, but uh whatever. Good job wasting a lot of time for a few stat points making it even less likely you'll hit 200 and it'll actually matter. Go trendsetter snapple

Took me a week to get back up with twinked items :3 You're likely to die before getting to level 200 now! (SOB).

Do not start over. Make do with what you have. Cause its impossible to max stats with any character by 200 with out help of mags, units, and materials. Thats just the way it is.

Fonewearl has lowest atp in the game at 583. There is no reason for it to need help to max out, one would think. But at level 163 my atp without mag is 529. Not that far from max, should be easy, 37 levels left to grow. Guess what? Starting at around level 150, fonewearl gain only one point of atp. Thats really bad. My mst stituation is worse. Since did not hardly any mind mats my mst at my current level is a low 1077. It is way to low to even max with a good mind mag and units by level 200, because after level 155 she gains either 6 points or 4 points of mst. I'm not going to worry about it though. My goal is to max evp and get close to maxing mst.

It's the just the maxed stats thing - I also think building up your character early on is just more fun than doing the same ultimate levels over & over again. Hey, I just like leveling up from Normal to V-Hard and this is the primary reason for starting over.

I did the math, and while it's not possible to max out all stats at once, I can set it up so that I have the potential to max some stats at a time, if I so wish. Course, it all depends on whether or not I can find a God/Legs and how careful I am when raising a MAG...

I really don't understand. You are assuming you'll get to 200. I know very few people that will ever do that. Besides, 100 atp = 33 dmg ... is that really a difference worth starting over for?

Although, If you are starting a new character, for the sake of starting a new character, then go for it.

Ouch, i'm glad i'm not a perfectionist! I don't think stats have enough importance to make me start from lvl 1

Its only a game. I just a couple of hours ago erased a level 91 HUmar to make a HUnewearl. I also have erased a 37 RAmar.

*Shrugs*

No big deal really.

It's funny, since I've always put a huge emphasis on ATA, I was able to equip a VARISTA at lv 1.

Besides, it was only like 132 hours of play that got erased, and technically this is my third time starting over, since I also have the import. I wonder how fast I can get to level 100 this time around.

i know how ya feel, sept to a much lower extent
i started out with a lvl 38 FOmar and it turns out he wasnt getting quite as magicaly powerful as i liked so i started over with a FOnewm and by lvl 32 with a weaker mag he had over 100 more TP than my FOmar

sometimes the results are worth the trouble
(edit) i was wondering...the max material for the FOnewm is 250, is this for each material? like 250 power mats and 250 mind mats?
and there is a 150 limit to hp/tp mats i think. is it 150 for each mat? and if not does it effect to max total for the 250 limit of the other mats

The max is 250, period; it's not 250 per type of material. The HP/TP materials limit is separate from the others, but, like the others, the total amount you can use is 150, and not 150 each.

The max material limit (not including HP/TP mats) is 150 for non-Human characters; 250 for Human characters. For HP/TP mats, it's 125 for all races.

Dude! Do you even understand how easy it is to get to 200 now?? So far, every level after lvl 110 or so, the amount of exp needed for me to lvl up has increased by about 10k (~170k from lvl 117 - 118, ~290k from lvl 129-130, etc.). If this trend continues, I'll need around 990k to go from lvl 199 to 200. Thats just less than half of what you need to go from 199 - 200 in ver 2. I'm sure plenty of people will get to 200 this time around.

It's nearly a month since domestic GC PSO came out. And I see lots of people over Lv 100.

And how long is this game going to be around? Remember that PSO is a long-term game, like most online RPGs are. And this time ST made leveling up much easier, compared to previous versions. So I estimate that we'll see some Lv 200s by this Christmas.

Speaking of which, since it's impossible to max out all stats, I bet there will be people having mutiple characters of same class just to max out different combination of stats. Heh.

Yes, I have import. Though there is another importer that is at level 190.

As for the 10k exp trend. Well that continue up to 150. Then it is like a 13k - 18k increase.

No, level 199 to 200 will not need 990k. More like around 2 million, just like in dreamcast. The 180's need over a million per level. The total exp will still be less than dreamcast. You do not break 50 million total until the high 180's I believe.
