What photon did you put in? I find if you put Megi Photons in, even with a 90% success, they still fail sometimes.

Of course they fail sometimes. ITS ONLY 90% CHANCE! Thats 1/10 chance of failing.

Not impossible, but not very easy.

3 tries on an 8* Mayrod with a 100 Tech PM and only 1 passed with a 54% chance. So yeah, it's not impossible, just very expensive, lol.

Even 99% can fail due to the 1%. That's the one reason why I hate synthing and grinding.

No worse than failing to get a Lavis Cannon from a Pofuilly after over 50 attempts, really.

sadly, I have failed a 98-9% before.

I failed my very first calibur synth at only 54%... although I must be lucky because my two other 54% weapons, Mukrudi and the same-star twin daggers worked http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I dunno; my PM was failing a bunch of expensive A rank synths, possibly due to its name (Artoo-Screwyou), so I changed the name to Artoo-Helpu and it's made me 2 fans and a laser cannon!

Disclaimer: This post was not entirely in seriousness. fanboy does not mean to imply that what you name your PM affects its synthing chances. It's all due to random luck. Sometimes you win and sometimes you don't.

HUH?

What do Megi photons in particular have to do with it?

Does it Megid ITSELF or some $#!t?!

I lucked out with the Calibur, First and second try...although it was crappy percent, only 18% dark I think, and 21% light, might still be for sale in my shop http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif Only selling it for 5 K, it's a 5 star weap so that's basically how I do it, 1-3 star weaps 100-300 meseta, 4 star 4000 meseta and 5 star 5000 meseta. (I'm NOT taking the time to look up all those damn weaps and compare http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif) So I might be getting ripped off...don't know, don't care... Anyways, I have failed 3 synths and total of 3 attempts with Flourescent Bulb...what can I say, my PM hates trying with those, finally bought one just to play around with. I have the board and mats to make another one but why throw it away, ya know what I mean? lol's

That would definately be the worst.

lol, in a sense it does.

Dark isn't really how should I say "naturally friendly". Because it is a negative element, it would make sense that there is a GREATER chance of failure due to this photon's attribute.

That has nothing to do with it. If you put any elemental photon in, it lowers the success rate the same for each.(I've never noticed megid lower the chance anymore or any less than the other element photons)

When you have a 1 in 10 chance of failing a synth, and you fail four times, it's time to put your saber down softly, pick up the gun, and shoot your PM in its cute little face.

I failed two B rank daggers last night with 76% chances. I, myself, am pessimistic when it comes to synths.

heh you think thats annoying? try failing 3 7* axes in a row with a 61% chance....the last one I had lvl 2 luck..not sure if that applies to synthing or not, but it dam sure is an insult to injury..thats 60k for the board down the drain as well as 15k+ in materials for each synth gone... I hate synthing with a passion now, I worked hard all weekend for the materials only to have all of my synths fail, ....yea psu isnt quite that fun right now...fuck synthing.

I've failed 6 Bullet Master synths at 60% each (The Board was free from Seed Vitace but the mats cost me). I have also failed 4 Cubo Danga (8* Crossbow) Synths at 54%. So far I have one Cubo Danga...

I think synthing wouldn't be so hard on others, if prices on Player stores werent jacked up from hell. But thats just an observation.. It's okay! I understand you need 1.5mil for a B rank rare. But.. Sheesh. It's a little much, especially with such failure.

My first attempt on my 8* Burst Rifle failed, but the next two attempts at 54% on a 100 pure Ranged PM both succeeded and I now sport those two beauties on the top of my Forteranger's pallet.

My first attempt on my Midiline armor failed at 33% chance and rather than waste my time chasing down the 30 nanocarbons it takes for the next try (that would be 90 nanocarbons for three tries http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif), I bought the Teroline for 95,000 and figured I did okay.

It's all pure dumb luck and you either have it or you don't.

I've grinded 3 8* Mayrods in a row and 6 8* Melee weaps (2 Axe, 2 Claws and 2 Spears) on my 2 Pure PM's. Overall, 9 in a row on 8* Weapons. I'm in for some very bad luck soon.
