Im sure everyone has heard that soon PSO servers will be going down soon (except for on xbox). So my question is how many poeple out there will stick with this amazing game and continue offline? I for one have always been a fan of offline multi even though I have played online every now and again.

Of course I'll continue offline. Playing with my friends is not the same thing if it isn't PSO.

Pay-to-Play doesn't attract me much... I have better ways of spending my money, hence why I'm playing Guild Wars. But of course, offline play is an experience to continue.

I'll never ever stop playing PSO. It turned me into an RPG fan when i was an RPG hater. Plus i have a rivalry with my friend, gotta beat that bastard.

I'm staying offline.
Well, there's no reason for me not to, I guess http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I will be switching to PSO and to PSU. I invest to much time in PSO to have it go to waste. I have so much more to do on PSO to have it sit there. But I will be playing PSU when I get a 360 in a 2 months and still play PSO.

admittedly, while Xbox isn't going down yet, the idea of eternal christmas and a rapidly vanishing online community has tempted me to consider picking it up for GC and hopping on to the sega servers when it goes free for a bit, and we'll see what happens from there. Sure, it would mean starting new characters, bt if I stand to meet up with a few decent legit players, it's more than worth it.

If I manage to get my hands on a Broadband Adapter, I'll be glad to join you. I'm TOTALLY legit, all the items I have I found them by myself save one, a Kasami Bracer (that I don't use anymore because of SSS).

At first I didn't want to say that, but it seems that will be the only solution when ST's servers will definitely shut down. It -does- pinch my stomach saying that...

Well, I'll get about two months of online play in after christmas hopefully, then I'll mooch whatever I can off people, and continue offline, definately.

I did expect this kind of a reaction, but its always good to hear it first hand. Even if the servers go down I for one wont be stopped from enjoying PSO. It is beyond a doubt my favorite game and ill drag anyone I can in to go for multi sessions just to get them hooked and keep it alive!

Of course... I never got to online though... But like most people, PSO is WAAAAY beyond my favorite game. I can so totally see myself bringing Wii and the GC PSO plus with mem card and starting all fresh for the college.

I will never grow tired of pso ever. PSO FOREVER!

You watch. You'll be next for that http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif (joke http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif )
I'm thinking about going online for the last month or so, just to say I've been on. And I'll grab as much online only stuff as I can before it all goes. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I know, seriously. Chill, Ryna.

Gahaha. If I suddenly go offline, or this post is removed, it only confirms that there is some over-reacting going on.

No over-reacting about it. the post violated the explicit rules set up at this site, and was therefore deleted, and the user banned, as per our rules, that you were supposed to have read when you joined. Ignorance or laziness is not a shield. It's got nothing to do with over-reacting, its simple action and reaction.

So uh, which one of these posts violates a rule?

The portion in which your signature promoted illegal servers. Which if you notice, is a bannable offense. If you also read the rules, you'll note that once you are banned, you are not to make additional accounts, as they will be banned as well, escalating upwards to IP bans and complaints to your ISP.

Thanks for your time.

The part where you try to advertise a free server in your signature while feigning ignorance.

While we may reconsider our position on private servers around the time they are shutdown, they are still off-limits for now. Posting links will result in an instant warning and probably an instant-ban. Attempting to subvert the rules only causes us to have an unfavorable opinion of the situation and will be kept in mind at the time of a possible rules-change decision.
