Common Items in Yellow Print?

Today I was playing and I picked up a Gush Ripper that is in yellow print as if it were a unique. Whats the deal with it? I don't remember items like that in the DC version.

The Gush ability (and perhaps photon effeciency) add stars. A 9-star item is in yellow text.

That's my theory anyway. I could be wrong.

Any item with 9 stars or more has it's name in yellow, but only "real" rare weapons have their name in all capital letters.
