Kinda of a waste to watch since it was announced who won on GS a while back.

Though I do admit, the game that won game of the year deserved it.

Haha... Spike video game awards... Because who knows video games better than the average ignorant-sleezeball American male?

So what game won? Tell me, was is Madden again??? I wouldn't be surprised... :|

Nope. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (it just ended, so might as well say it).

Oh yeah, and I have to say this is a vast improvement over the previous attempts to do something like this. Plus the whole Samuel L Jackson killing the Guitar Heroes or Oblivion was a nice opening.

I take it more recent games such as Zelda weren't nominated?

Gears of War and Guitar Hero II were nominated for best game (and Gears was a big winner). And Zelda did win Critics choice and there was a nomination for PS3's Resistance...but didn't win.

Wii did win best hardware.

It seems almost unfair Nintendo's Wii (no pun) was nominated. . . Most inovative system? That must have been a joke.

And the opening FPS sequence with Samuel and the Guitar Heroes of Oblivion was pretty good.

Now that I think back, I can remember a VG awards in the summer. . . Oblivion won >_>;

It was nominated along with Kingdom Hearts II and Final Fantasy XII for best RPG of the year.

All lost to Oblivion.
