I've been reading through some of the guides and I can't find an answer to probably one of the simplest questions of all time. What is the difference between MST (Mental Strenght) and TP (Technic Points)? Does TP increase the number of times I can use the technique and MST increase it's strength?

TP is offense, MST is defense.

Ah, as in TP affects my "casting of the spells" and MST affects the "casting of spells at me", right? Thanks.

Something else you should know, TP only affects your offensive spells.

So no matter what your TP is, you still heal the same amount with resta as someone with the equivalent resta level. (eg. if you were a CAST force with resta lvl 30, you'd heal the same as a newman force with resta lvl 30, provided you had the same equipment)

I'm certain TP effects Resta. Or else guntechers wouldn't suck so much at Resta.

Same, just replace guntecher with CAST in my case.

I agree with TP affecting Resta as well.

Really? Hmm there was some chatter about that going around earlier...

Ah well, I only use resta with my newman so I wouldn't know http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

If you mean the effective range of Resta, then no, that depends on the tech level. Just as in PSO, the stat + the tech level effects how much you recover. And just like PSO, only the Tech level effects range of healing.

TP effects anything with numbers http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif be they white or green.

so dmg or healing TP will effect it.

The techs that wont matter are the ones that are just status effects. LIke Deband/Shifta type spells. Only the level will matter and as far as I have heard about them they start off at max power, the higher lvl only increases the duration not the power of the spell. have to wait and see I guess if thats true or not.

They don't start at max power. The stat enhancement of debuff starts at Lv 1, then at level 11 its Lv 2, and finally after level 21, it's Lv 3.
