After DJ got hacked I closed shop and started trading by PM mostly. Not that I have anything too important, but i like to not waste time by getting hacked over a few weapons.

I second that, Laranas. My shop has been moved to a LV1 alt with a LV0 PM, I emptied out the common box and have all important items carried in inventories of various characters.

{EDITED it's been a while since I've posted something correctly the first time...}

Well... I just got a mail from Tomeeboy, the site admin, saying he got hacked.
It's starting to pick up I guess on the PC/PS2 servers. Just keep in mind that B-listing locks people out, and so does locking your room. ^_^; Just take precautions I guess if you are worried until Sega steps in a little more.

I nearly fell off my chair.

The 360 is safe from the room hack.

EDIT: We're also safe from meseta duping.

I just got confirmation that the one that one of the moderators got hacked. I dont want to say who...

Please take time to look into your shop, lock your room or whatever. If you have been hacked, please send me a picture of your visitor's log.

Havn't been hacked. The information's been out there to protect yourselves. Close the shop, open an alt pm 0 shop, and don't let people you don't trust have your card. Getting victimized when protecting yourself is so easy, and the info on how to do so is so readily available, doesn't make sense to me. It's like turning a blind eye to the problem. Especially after high profile hackings like to DJ. In no way does it make it ok that it's happened to you though. It isn't the victims' fault they get hacked, they just could have done something beforehand.

Also, as much as most people on here want to avoid the cheating sites like the plague, signing up for a forum account at the various ones (never downloading anything from them out of paranoia) and keeping tabs on their discussions can help a lot in self preservation in this regard.

It's obvious that the hackers are watching the forums and finding targets (who exactly they want, who knows), but is it that hard to do the same and find the culprit?

Honestly, I wish to be hacked. You know why, cause bad things happen to good people. When will yall learn...being nice gets you way ahead of being vicious.

No kidding, but that's relativly new information. DJ's incident happened, and was made public, a few days ago. Since then there have been many reports, which could have been avoided had people heeded DJ's warning.

that seems to be fairly common. I don't think they can. I think pm bomb and decor are about the extent of this hack's abilities.

Stop posting the site that the PM's name was changed to. I know it's information, but it still breaks site rules.
