http://www.psupedia.org/ To me seems to bring up an odd page with a dog with a helmet on, what's up here, anyone know why?

That site is almost always down. Its like the guy hosts it off his damn 56k connection or something.

It seems to be back up now.

How strange.

Well, no worries now, but that's one strange page to bring up for downtime.

i did get a file structure.

Seems someone messed around with the index page.
(for example index.html, if this is on the primary folder, your browser would automatic open this one)
Don't know how it is at PHP.

That would sound about right. Guess that can be a curse of a wiki sometimes.
Lest it was an honest mistake, but looking at the page the turned up, I feel uncertain about that.

It was mentioned on GameFAQs as well:

This is the picture that turned up:

That's the dog.

Well, as of now, I don't mind what happens to this topic. I only use PSUpedia as a leapfrog to get here now they have links up.

Hackers have already hacked the game but do they really need to hack the websites also?

I hope all this information can be recovered.

Why the heck was the main page open to public editing? Lemme try something real quick.

OMG.
They actually took out the site, not just the main page.

Anyone else notice how the image is hosted on Imageshack? Just in case anyone was trying to find someone to blame. Possible lead, anyways.

There is a topic about this on the psu main board that might help.

BTW: the gloating from the 360 owners might just be payback for all the

"LOL, who gives this game more than a month on 360?" thread we saw near launch.

Back on topic, would destroying the site be considered "intentionally accessing a protected computer without authorization and as a result of such conduct recklessly causing damage"?

Alright, enough guys.
In any case, it looks as though the site is stable at the moment.
Even so, you always have the option of looking on the JP wiki (While translated) if things go really bad.
It might not be as informative considering the language barriers, but it's useful nonetheless.

Well, Google does an excellent job nonetheless.
Just wait untill google makes an OS and dethrones Microsoft.

Ah. I randomly clicked on Merchandise and got nothing. Well, some is better than none.

I want to see a lawsuit out of this.

Its fixed now

Tycho
Dec 19, 2006, 07:06 PM
So, the site owner, Ahzi, again swapped around a few files for the dog; and it got fixed again. psupedia.org (and .info, the new backup) should both work currently, and we're still in the process of moving the whole thing over.

Mewn
Dec 19, 2006, 07:23 PM
Yeah, the site isn't being hacked or anything. Ahzi is just being a twat. Why? No idea.

Tycho said it all really.

Oh, and mods, why was this moved to Off-Topic, out of interest? I understand we're talking about another site here, but it's still relevant to PSU.
