I went thru this on Very-Hard and I noticed some very drastic changes to the quest as opposed to the old DC version. On Ruins 1 Shino steps into the big room and has a flashback of previous events. In Ruins 2 after completing the quest, Shino more or less shuts down by Zoke's side. There were dynamic camera changes for both situations, as well. I wish they had done more updates to old quests like this. Heck, Dr. Montague still tells you that critter materials can only be found in the Mine and Ruins. They're everywhere now.
As for the four swords, there's something obvious that a lot of people miss when considering the real Agito. Each of the blacksmiths forged one sword. Zoke had three of the four swords which you technically end up carrying around as quest items (too bad you can't earn them here as actual weapons). But you get the descriptions of each.
Kamui: AUW 1977 model. Made by Tengai.
Yasha: AUW 2018 model. Made by Kikoku.
Sange: AUW 1963 model. Made by Jou'un.
By process of elimination we learn that the Orochiagito was forged by Dousetsu. Albeit this is kinda pointless knowledge now that everyone and their uncle knows that the real Agito is the 1975 model by Dousetsu, but I just thought it was interesting to point that out. I believe this knowledge, along with what is on the three books of katana, are what were originally intended to identify the true agito.
